I spent 3night-4days in Saint-Luis. What I did is ....rest!!! 

I could get shower (even not hot, no problem!!!) bed, fan, food whatever I usually use in life. These items are such a spice which makes you more enrich your life. I’m happpyyyy.

In Saint-Louis it’s difficult to find WiFi ( not only here but also African countries ). I asked police and they told me “ No cafe with WiFi here”

Even if what he said is incorrect , certainly I haven’t seen cafe. As here are restaurant or Bar(beer 😍) for rich people, tourists, you can get WiFi there.

In my case I tried to buy sim. Then I asked one woman who works small shop where can I get sim. Fortunately she gave her sim!!! OMG... how kindly....

Although We couldn’t talk too much, I guessed she said I can use it until 2days later. No problem!!

Dinner. With vegetables 😂

Second day I went to beach area. This region is more develop in Saint-Louis.

So mostly visitors stay there. 

When I was walking here, I found this↓↓↓

I’ve never eaten.. how tast... by the way African rice is similar to Japanese rice. But more be crushed. I assume they care about ore amount than quality(΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

And walk litt bit, there is another river. I saw fishers just leave and go sea.

There is cemetery between residence and beach.

Long life than I thought.

The sea sea is pretty good!! But shore is terrible.. it let me remember What I was in Cansado. Lol

Well, there is no direct bus...Otherwise there is bus for Dakar.

Why no direct bus!!! Saint-Louis is on the way to Dakar!!!!凸(▼O▼ﾒ) 

And cost is mostly same... wtf...

Anyway I seem to have to go Oréfonde. Then I take another bus. 

Bus waits passengers. Until full, this bus didn’t depart.

While I was waiting, I viewed fire in opposite shore.

Mathis,,, I hope you’re alive...

Finally we departed 1h later. 1500CFA.

Run off road. The door which is beside of driver was broken. That’s why it opened and closed .... lol

And It spent 1.5h!! Even map shows only 34km( ﾟ∀ﾟ )ﾊｧｰﾊｯﾊｯ!!

It was not town!!! Lol

Bus terminal (?)

As The sun was too strong to wait without roof. Then one guy gave me water... I was looked like mummy..?😂 merci.

It made me revive.. water is delicious 🤤 

Of course I was waiting for 1h again. I got used to waiting everything. So if my girlfriend came to be late, I absolutely wouldn’t  be angry haha.

Started at 17:00pm. It’s such a train that stops at every station so all time when I saw a map made me cry... no proceed 😭😭😭

whenever bus stop, sellers closed bus and called things what they want to sell.  “Sugar 5kg!! Sugar 5kg!! Sugar 5kg!! Mandarin~.”

Who wants to buy Sugar 5kg!!

I was talking a guy who was sitting down next me. He can speak English!! His nationality is  Guinea 🇬🇳 And going to go France(without visa🙌) on the way.

When I go to Gunea, his family host me!! Wow! Excellent meeting with him!!

He got off in Rosso which is border town between Senegal and Mauritania. See you!! Enjoy your travel!!

Finally I also arrived Saint-Louis!!

3:00AM

Dark,silent and cold.Where I am?? Yes... this situation is not good.haha.

I have known people who is brother of my friend. But you know that time... it means sleeping time.

I was sleeping on a bench along with sea. Zzz

I got up and asked people “ I wanna call my friend.”

But People didn’t have telephone number (I don’t know why🤷‍♂️) even I asked person calling or using their phone.

On the contrary there was a situation what One guy asked me. “Ca va?.....”

I told what I wanted to do, he also told me I don’t have phone number. But he gave me sandwich 🥪!! Merci!!

Another guy also gave me coffee. Merci!!

quite sweet and chemical taste coffer ☕️ 

Finally I could contact him. He came and picked me up.... when I arrived his house, clock pointed 9:00am.

Looooooong cross border. I recommend to cross border from Rosso if you come easy from Mauritania.😂

I got WiFi after 3  Lol

This article is last chapter... Im gonna write normal diary from tomorrow.

Well, the sun let us shine. “Hey wake up guys. Your journey doesn’t finish yet.”

we slept here. 

8:00am we departed this place. Thanks for everything guardian!!

Goats are also eating trash today beside we tried to hitchhike.

Finally!!!

We gave up ✋( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Very very very difficult!!!

But I could confirm again. 

In this case, All vehicle demanded dirty us money 💰. I know this situation is normal. 

Hitchhikers and drivers who help such a them are person who is with high quality humanity. Especially drivers. Because they are no meaning what pick up Hitchhikers. Why they help?? Let’s think.

When someone pick up, we have to appreciate too much.

Money is important. But we have to control it.

The life which is controlled by money is shit.

I appreciate like this opportunity to think about it in Mauritania.

Because We have already known price for Kaedi, it was easy to take a taxi.

When we passed small town, there was kind of protest. People forward to us!! 

As I was found by kids, they called “Chinua, Chinua(Chinese!! Chinese!!)!!!”

They were so noisy and persistent... I shouted “I’m Japanese!!”

ohhhh!! Japoni!!Japoni!!Japoni!!Japoni.....

no change...

Taxi was running and picked up on the way. One moment there are 9 people inside lol

We arrived Kaedi 2h later. Pretty long distance than I thought.

Although I was super tired and didn’t wanna stay here anymore, Mathis wanted to stay here. That’s why we separated for each other way.

At first we head out to border together. It was nothing happened. And I could exchange UM🇲🇷→CFA🇸🇳 good rate.

Boat is 20um. I just had it. Here you are!!

I was in Senegal 🇸🇳

At first I went to police check. And I felt air conditioner wind!!! Wtf!! Love Senegal lol

They checked my luggage. And permitted to go immigration.

This immigration was also easy. But workers was seeing my passport too much lol

... stamp!! ok welcome to Senegal 🇸🇳!!

Yeah!! I was excited😆!!

I asked people who were chilling “ How can I go Saint-Luis?”

“There is no bus from here to Saint-Luis.(smile)”

【セネガル モーリタニア 移動】

3日ぶりのインターネット！！笑笑

更新ない時はネットに繋がってない時です。

遂に最終章を迎えました。初めてのハンズアップ、連行、まさかモーリタニアで経験するなんて思わなかった。。。マジで疲れるわ。。。

翌朝、テントの入り口をジーーっと開けると澄み切った空気の中を“君たちの進む道はここだよ”と道しるべを示す日光がお出迎え。あぁ、出発の時間か。。。

ここで寝てた。

ガーディアンのおっちゃんにお礼を言い、ヒッチスタート。ヤギさん今日もモリモリと、ゴミを食べてメェーと鳴く。メェー。

1時間、2時間、、、ついに！！

諦めた（)´д`(）ｹﾞｯｿﾘ・・・ 

めっちゃくちゃ難しいヒッチハイクinモーリタニア！！！

でも改めてお金について考えさせられた。

止まってくれた全てのクルマがばっちぃ俺たちにお金を要求してきた。うん、これは分かる。が、これはヒッチハイクじゃない。

だからヒッチハイカーを乗っけてくれる人って人間力のありすぎマンだわ。乗せるメリットなんて殆ど無いのに乗せてくれる、なぜでしょう？？小学校の道徳の授業の教材にいかがですか？笑笑

止まって乗っけてくれるドライバーさんには心の底から感謝をしないとダメだわ。

実はヒッチって意外とレベルの高い移動手段なのかもしれないよね、見方によっちゃ。

で、分かったことはお金は大事だけど、コントロールをしないダメ。

お金に支配される、そんな人生はクソ💩である。

ヒッチばっかしてるのもカウチばっかしてるのも、ある意味お金に支配されてる訳であって時間というものの大事さを忘れさせられてる。ヒッチが上手く成功し続ければ時間も節約出来るけどそれはかなりギャンブル的なことなので贅沢なこと。

こんなことを考えさせてくれたモーリタニアのヒッチハイクには感謝ですな！

てな訳でタクシーを捕まえる。値段は既に知っていたので問題無く乗車。

途中デモみたいなのやってて前から行進部隊がズンズン向かってくる。

ズズズッと避ける。

運悪く子ども達に見つかって「中国人だ！中国人だ！」と囲まれてしまった……俺は日本人じゃボケェーー(΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)!!!と言うと「オーー！日本人か！日本人がいるぞ！」と何も変わらなかった。

タクシーは走りながら人を拾ってくので一時的に9人乗ってた。

アフリカのタクシーヤベェわ画像にこんなの良く出回ってるけど5人乗りに9人は中々多い方じゃない？？

2時間後にKeadiに到着。意外と遠かった笑

クッソ疲れたので俺はもうセネガルのサンルイスに行きたい、ここで止まりたく無い（なんならモーリタニアもう腹いっぱすぎて驚くことは何もない）願望を伝える。マチスは年末をセネガルで過ごすことになってて1ヶ月セネガルは長すぎるからここにもう少しだけいるとのこと。なのでここでお別れ。

国境まで見送ってくれたマチス。国境もすんなり出国スタンプくれた。ウギア→セーファもクッソいいレートでチェンジ出来た（どっかにコインは無くしてしまったがwww）。

ありがとうマチス！また会おう！てゆーか多分また会うわ笑笑

ボートは20um

1分後にはセネガルに到着。モーリタニア出れたことだけで心にかなり余裕とゆーか新たなワクワク感が湧き出てきた。

セネガルのイミグレでまずはポリスチェック。小窓から人呼んだ時にクーラーの風が顔に直撃して気持ち良すぎた_:(´ཀ`」 ∠):セネガルやるぅ♬

荷物もチョロッと見ただけで「はい、イミグレのカウンター行ってくださーい」と流される。ここから入る旅行者なんて殆どいないからユルユル感が凄い…….

イミグレではパスポートめっちゃ見られた（あら、これペルーだわ…これはウクライナよ…）。興味津々過ぎwww

けど問題無くスタンプドーン！！ようこそセネガルへ！

あざーす！！セネガルゥゥウゥウ🇸🇳！！

テンション上がるぜ。

駄弁ってたおっちゃん達に「サンルイス行きたいんだけどバスはどれ？」とウキウキで質問。

「ここからサンルイスに行くバスは無いよ。ニコッ。」

え？？？

もちろんなんのこっちゃわからないままとりあえずマチスが外に出ると、「そのきったねぇシャツを脱ぎやがれ！！そして座れ！」と警察。

え？？？

マチスが出てシャツを脱ぐ。真っ暗の中タンクトップのカリビアンフレンチが砂漠で正座してる姿はたいそう滑稽であるwww

で、なんかワシャワシャ質問攻めにあってそれとなく答えてる姿を確認。すると、、、

「中にいるもう1人も出てこい！」

あ、俺も？？

かなり混乱状態のままゴソゴソとテントから這い出る。

座。

手を上に！そのまま！！それからその手を頭の後ろに！！

つまりこういうことをしたわけです。

人生初めてのハンズアップ。からの手を頭の後ろにする。

なんのこっちゃ分からずフランス語をワーワー言われてたから警察がこうするんだ、と教えてくれたのは良いが……

この状態のままマチスの横に座ってる日本人。質問は一切されず（とゆーかしても意味ないから全部マチスに質問がいく）とりあえず頭を押さえたまま待つ。

どこから来た、パスポート見せろ、は分かるけど結婚してるのか？なんでしてないんだ？？とか質問がおかしな方に進み始めた。

てめーらその薄汚い荷物まとめて警察署行くぞ！！とゆーことになったみたい。

人生初の連行ってやつかこれは。

テント片付けながら話をマチスに訳してもらうと、2点の問題があったようだ。

1. テント張るには警察の許可が必要みたいだった。
2. このエリアは蛇やら虫やら危ない生き物いっぱいだからダメという優しさ。

すげー勢いで殴り込みにあって朗らかに連行された。

で、警察署（検問所）に着くと、ここにテントを張りなさい、と指示を受ける。はぁ。。。

今日の寝床は検問所の横。夜ご飯は食べたのか？と聞かれたのでまだ食ってねぇ（なんならてめーらがその機会を奪ったんだぜ）と答えるとモーリタニアパスタを振舞ってくれた。

優しいんだか激しいんだか……何よりこの人達はテント泊やらヒッチハイクというものの理解がスズメ、、いや文鳥の涙以下だということか分かった。

朝起きるとパンを1本くれた。それから俺たちが車を止まるから待ちなさい、という謎の指示。しかし止める気配もなくじかんだけがチックタックと、進む。。。

大きなバスが来るとここぞと言わんばかりに「おめーら！来たぞ乗りやがれ！」と腕をブンブン振って呼ぶ警察。

え？これバスやんけ！？ヒッチハイクの1番の敵じゃんかw

と思ったけどなんか途中までタダで乗っけてくれるみたい。

バスをヒッチハイクしたった。

黒人系だらけ。水飲むか？パン食べるか？とすげー親切。疲れてたから全部断って寝てたけど。

快適に走るバス。これが金払えば得られるものなのか……しみじみと思いふけってると、

パスーーーーーン！！

パンクした。

全然修理が終わらないで1時間くらい経っても進まない。おかしいなー、と思ってバスを降りると、

後輪もパンクしてた。

全く前に進む気がしない……Keadi遠すぎるよ……

やっと目的地に着いたは良いけどマチスがまだヒッチ頑張りたい、って言い始めた。。。マジか……オラ、モウツカレタダヨ…

暇だったからあの警察来た時の写真撮ってた。

1時間くらい待つとBoqueっていう街に行くトラックが止まってくれた！

初めて自分達の目的地まで連れてってくれるヒッチに成功。感動😭

到着。相変わらずの砂の街。

この日の夜は（もうほとんど機能はしてない砂塗れの）ハルディンのセキュリティーしてるとかいうおっちゃんがここら辺にテントどーぞと勧めてくれた。

井戸水グビグビ。

モーリタニアだからといって怖がるこたーない。水道水だって井戸水だって飲んでもお腹壊さなくなった。最初は腹痛くなったりしたけど慣れたみたいだ。

まだまだ移動は続く。。。

Mathis came out first of all while we didn’t understand what it happened.

“Heey!! Take off your dirty shirt 👕 and set down here!!”

It was funny that tank top guy set down in the desert in the night 🤣

I saw he was asked a lots. Then ...

“the other guy who is in tent also come out!!”

Oh should I do as well !!??

As I was confusing ,came out from tent.

It’s first experience to do this.

Although I didn’t understand what police said coz they spoke only French, they taught me how to move hands to behind head.

They asked All question for Mathis not me. So I was just waiting as setting hands behind head.

At first question was “where are you from?” “What were you doing here?” But it proceeded strange way such a “ Are you married ?” “ Why you aren’t married?”

The result it seemed to that we have to go police check point.

It is also first experience as taking by police.

Mathis told me there were 2 problem.

1. if we make tant on the street or somewhere, we had to get permission.
2. Here there are a lots snakes, insects with poison. That’s why they made us stop.

When we arrived there, they admitted what we make tent next to their pig police hut. At that time they gave me Mauritanian pasta 🍝. They are kindly or intense...🤔

Anyway they don’t know what is Hitchhike or sleeping in the tent...

When we woke up, they gave us one bread 🥖. And told us “ we are gonna catch car for you guys. Wait here.”

Its good and strange indication.

They seemed not to stop cars. Only time was gone....

Time is money _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):

One big bus came. Suddenly police called us  “ Hey guys!! Take this 👍!!”

What!!?? This is bus!! Are you kidding me??

Somehow we could take this one until where we wanna to go. 

Passengers were so kindly. They recommended us water or bread. How they could know we’re poor lol

The bus run and run comfortably....

Poooooooop!!!!!

Bursting.

Although we waited for1h, bus still stopped. It’s strange!! I got off it and check what they did.

Rear also bursting.

After all, we arrived our distinction at4pm. It was impossible to reach Kaedi same day.

we tried Hitchhike again. In this time we didn’t wait as long as we thought.

An old man who works as guardian recommended his place where we can make tent for us.

Quite far away Kaedi than I thought. Hitchhike in Mauritania.. awful 😭

Fucking tired now...... Actually I’m Hitchhike on the way.... super difficult hitchhike...

Now I could get WiFi, but I’m not sure when I get it again...

I was fighting with mosquitos in night. The worst insect is mosquito. I’m very sensitive to hear their sounds... OMG.

Turn off light and search them by my phone light 💡.

We took a taxi and went to suburb.

Proceeded 10km. It was small town

with trash festival.

wow. Interesting(lie)

We got used to seeing such a this situation. But all time we got shocked. 

Here, even taxi didn’t  come.... Sometimes cars appeared but passed in front of us.

Lazy hitchhiker sleeping.

We stuck 4h. Sun came down... we had to stay here...

We were searching place which we could make tent.

Finally we could find that one.

While we were enjoying this night, suddenly heard voice.

HEEEY!!! We’re police!! Come out!!!
