Last day in Almaty, I went to Charyn Canyon. I assume that this is just popular and famous sightseeing place which we can visit from Almaty.

Its little bit far away. The distance is approximately 200km more or less.

There are 2 ways to go there.

【1-weekend tour(Saturday and Sunday)】

There are many tours in weekend however I didn’t ask whether weekdays also hold tour or not.

The cost is 15$(6500ten)

7:00-20:00

With entrance fee

Without lunch fee.you have to bring.

No English guide.

As these tours are popular, you had better to apply until Wednesday or Thursday.

【2-shared taxi 】

In everyday, taxi which goes to Kegen runs. So you can go there whenever you want. 

You go to Sayakhat bus station.(43°16′22.52″N 76°57′05.16″E)

Drivers call “Kegen!Kegen!” Then you just follow him.

The cost is 3000(one way). Driver will take you until entrance. If you don’t need to go until entrance, you can get off separated point between main road to small passage for Charyn Canyon(2500ten). But you should walk 10km.

And you should ask driver’s phone number. Because there is no taxi from Canyon.

Without entrance fee(750ten)

I think to apply tour is better unless you go on weekdays. Price is that tour is cheaper than individual way. Also tour is certainly you can go and back.

ツアーの方が断然いいと思う。値段は6500か6000か。時間、快適さ考えてもツアーの方がいい。週末だけだけど。

Wow! It’s spectacular than I thought!! However I’ve never been to Grand Canyon in US, I was satisfy lol. Actually I saw such a this landscape when I was in Serbia 🇷🇸 

It was little bit windy such as baby breeze but shine was strong. So I took off my jacket.

おお！と最初は思ったけどそういやこれのしょぼい版はセルビアで見たなあと思出す。この山の感じもどっかで見たことあるなぁとかも思うと感動も徐々にスーーーーーーっと万引き犯のようにいなくなっていく。

そして悲しき自撮りシリーズ。

And there is one small resting point. So most of tourist go there and back. It’s 2.5km hiking.

This place has camping base. I saw cyclists were doing camping with their tent. I wanted do it here if I had time.

I stayed for 2h, then I cameback Almaty. I suppose that 2h is enough to stay there.

I was strolling town little bit coz I didn’t see central area yet.
